Private Key

« Back to Glossary Index

A secret code that grants access to your digital wallet and assets. It’s important to keep your private key secure and never share it with anyone. Note: The distinction between a seed phrase and a private key lies in their purpose and usage. A seed phrase is used to generate and recover a wallet, which can contain multiple private keys for different blockchain addresses. On the other hand, a private key is specific to a single blockchain address and is used to sign transactions and access the assets associated with that address. Both seed phrases and private keys are sensitive information and must be kept private to maintain the security of your digital assets.
